The allrounder has been rewarded for a fine 2019 season during which he scored 1,420 runs and took 67 wickets across all formats
Derbyshire have underlined Luis Reece's status as one of their most important players by rewarding his stellar 2019 season with a new three-year contract.
The 29-year-old took 67 wickets and scored 1,420 across all formats last season.
Those displays helped the club reach T20 Finals Day for the first time in their history, while they achieved seventh and fifth-place finishes in County Championship Division Two and the One-Day Cup.
Reece, whose old deal ran until the end of next season, moved to the County Ground from Lancashire in 2017.
He joins Leus du Plooy and Anuj Dal in recently committing their immediate future to Derbyshire.
"I’m really pleased to have extended my stay here," the left-arm pacer said. "We have a really tight group of lads and that’s a great environment to play cricket in.
"I feel like I am playing good cricket, and I was able to contribute with the bat and ball this season, which is really positive for me."
Head of cricket, Dave Houghton, added: "Luis has been one of our standout performers this season and he has earned this new deal.
"He has progressed every year that he has been with the club, and his numbers with bat and ball this season shows the kind of quality that he has."
