Caribbean Premier League squads 2021: Full CPL player list

St Lucia Zouks have made a raft of changes to their squad ahead of the 2021 Caribbean Premier League, with Daren Sammy stepping down as a player and captain.

An ever-present with the team since 2013, the former West Indies captain will move behind the scenes to become a T20 cricket consultant and brand ambassador.

"It’s been an absolute pleasure to have led and been a part of the St Lucia Zouks from its inception," the 37-year-old said.

"Even though some may say good things must come to an end it will not be in this instance. St Lucia Zouks and I will always be a team.

"But since venturing into coaching, I realise I have a new passion that can allow me to still contribute and play a part in taking the franchise forward on its quest to winning a CPL title and developing future stars!"

Last season's runners-up have not confirmed a replacement but have announced that just seven of last year's squad will return for the new campaign.

Andre Fletcher, Kesrick Williams, Obed McCoy, Rahkeem Cornwall, Mark Deyal, Roston Chase and Javelle Glen have all been retained.

Among those not returning next term include Afghanistan trio Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran and Zahir Khan.

That leaves 10 berths to fill during the player draft, which is scheduled to take place later this month.

Organisers have confirmed the ninth edition of the CPL will begin from August 28, with all matches taking place in St Kitts and Nevis.

SLZ squad: Andre Fletcher, Kesrick Williams, Obed McCoy, Rahkeem Cornwall, Mark Deyal, Roston Chase, Javelle Glen
