TEDDIE CASTERTON: Already assured of a top-four spot, Knight Riders look to maintain their 100 per cent record as their rivals scramble for the semi-finals
Game One: Trinbago Knight Riders v Jamaica Tallawahs
Game Two: Barbados Tridents v Guyana Amazon Warriors
The Knight Riders will face off against Tallawahs in a bit to maintain their 100 per cent record. They were pushed to the wire by Barbados Tridents last time out, winning via the penultimate ball and chasing down 149 with just two wickets remaining. Throughout CPL 2020 they have punished their opponents' weaknesses, batting second in every match bar one, and flourish when under any scoreboard pressure.
The Tallawahs have won half of their games and sitting on six points in third position, just below the Zouks and above the Tridents. They won their last game comfortably by 37 runs against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, wicket-keeper batsman Glenn Phillips imposing his brilliance with 79 not out to patiently carry his team to a defendable total.
The second match sees fifth face third in a key clash in the battle to reach the top four. Tridents are running out of time to build a convincing case to qualify for the knock-out stage, but a victory here will keep them very much in contention. Warriors have not enjoyed the group stage dominance of previous years and must surely win at least two of their three remaining games to ensure they cling on to a semi-final berth.
All eyes will be on Tallawahs' Glenn Phillips, whose 207 runs in six innings at an average of 41.40 has really caught the eye. It will be an interesting battle between him and the Knight Riders' Sunil Narine, who has proven himself to be difficult to get away, with an economy rate of 4.58 in the competition.
Much of the Tridents' hopes rest on Kyle Mayers, whose player of the match performance against the Tallawahs included 85 off 59 balls. Only Phillips and Nicholas Pooran have hit more runs in this year's CPL. Imran Tahir will have other ideas however and with 11 wickets in seven matches there is plenty of evidence he is up to the task of curbing the Tridents' big-hitter.

Sunil Narine is likely to be key with bat and ball
Trinbago Knight Riders to continue winning run over Tallawahs.
The Barbados Tridents should outlast Guyana Amazon Warriors
