The spinner enjoyed a breakout winter with England but has found opportunities in the Somerset side limited so far this summer
England spinner Shoaib Bashir has joined Worcestershire on loan for five T20 Blast fixtures and one County Championship game.
Bashir, 20, has yet to appear in Somerset's Blast campaign but has already been included in the Rapids squad for their game against Northamptonshire this evening.
He is also likely to feature in Worcestershire's County Championship fixture against Surrey on June 23, having played three county games so far this season and taking four wickets.
Bashir has only played five career T20 games so might double his tally during his loan spell which ends on June 26.

Worcestershire’s Head Coach, Alan Richardson, said: "We are delighted to have Shoaib Bashir join us on loan.
"Shoaib is a player of immense talent and potential, and we believe his presence will significantly strengthen our squad for the Vitality Blast and our next Championship fixture against Surrey."
For Bashir, he will hope that this game time will keep him at the forefront of England selection considerations after taking 17 wickets in three Tests during the winter tour of India.
