The New Zealand-born Netherlands international hit the headlines last month when he smashed 30 runs off a Super Over during Cricket World Cup qualifier against West Indies in Harare. He dispatched Jason Holder for 4, 6, 4, 6, 6, 4 and later dismissed two West Indies batters to secure the win for his side.
Van Beek has represented Canterbury, Wellington and Derbyshire in first-class cricket, scoring 1,783 runs at 23.15 and taking 188 wickets at 32.45 in 70 matches.

In List A cricket, he has scored 1,158 at a strike rate of 82.89 and taken 151 wickets with an economy of 5.63 in 119 matches, including 25 ODIs.
On his move to Worcestershire, van Beek said: "I'm really looking forward to playing a part in Worcestershire's push for honours in two competitions.
"I know I get a lot of headlines for the Super Over against the West Indies, but there is more to my game, and I hope to be able to contribute with the bat and ball.
"Worcestershire are well placed, and it would be great to help them return to Division One."
Worcestershire head coach, Alan Richardson, said: "We are delighted to secure the services of Logan, who will strengthen our squad for the season's finale.
"He has experience of conditions in this country with Derbyshire and has shown he is a most capable performer in red-ball and white-ball cricket."
