Worcestershire announce New Road naming rights deal

Without a sponsor since 2020, the Pears have marked this week's return to their home by unveiling a fresh partnership

Worcestershire's home will be known as Visit Worcestershire New Road after confirmation of a new naming rights deal.

The club has been without a ground sponsor since 2020 when funding specialists Blackfinch withdrew from their six-figure sponsorship agreement.

News of the partnership comes as Worcestershire prepare to return to New Road for the first time this season after playing their opening home County Championship matches at Kidderminster.

Nottinghamshire are the visitors on Friday (May 24).

"We are incredibly proud to partner with Visit Worcestershire in renaming our historic ground to 'Visit Worcestershire New Road'," said chief executive Ashley Giles

"This collaboration is a perfect blend of sports and tourism, providing a unique platform to highlight what makes Worcestershire such a special place.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to experience not only world-class cricket but also the charm and attractions of our county."
