Archie Lenham has signed a contract extension with Sussex.

The 18-year-old spinner burst onto the scene in the 2021 T20 Blast, making his senior debut for the county aged just 16, and has since taken 29 wickets in 38 appearances across all formats.

He has chalked up 20 T20 appearances, taking 12 wickets and maintaining an economy of eight. Perhaps his most memorable performance came against Hampshire in just his second outing for Sussex, when he picked up 3 for 14 in a nine-wicket win.

Lenham has also taken seven wickets in seven first-class appearances and a further 10 wickets in 11 List A outings.

Commenting on his new deal, Lenham said: "I'm absolutely delighted to sign a contract extension with my boyhood club and cannot wait for the next few seasons.

"Hopefully we can continue to improve as a squad and win some silverware in the coming years."

Director of pathways and partnerships, Keith Greenfield, added: "It is great news that Archie has extended his stay with Sussex. He is another exciting product of our pathway and is already making his impact on the first team.

"Having made his debut at just 16, Archie has shown that he can be an important player for us in all formats for years to come."
