NORTH GROUP

Lancashire v Nottinghamshire

Where: Aigburth, Liverpool

When: Wednesday, August 2, 2:30pm

Lowdown: Lancashire are undefeated in the Vitality Blast, having claimed victory over Durham and Derbyshire. Notts are meanwhile top the North Group and are also yet to be on the losing side.

One to Watch: Alex Davies has proved a great asset to the Lancashire team and is among the highest run-scorers in the competition. With 147 runs in just two innings, he is consistent and hungry for more. Ben Duckett is also worth a watch having hit 86 against Yorkshire.

Weather: Heavy rain could spoil the end of the contest.

Tickets: Match will be played behind closed doors.

Prediction: Nottinghamshire

Derbyshire v Durham

Where: Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street

When: Wednesday, August 2, 6:30pm

Lowdown: Derbyshire are yet to make their mark on the Vitality Blast, having lost twice and been involved in a wash-out. Durham have endured a similarly dismal campaign having lost all three of their matches.

One to Watch: Alex Lees has enjoyed a fine start to the competition, to stark contrast to the fortunes of his team and against a Derby side low on confidence will fancy cashing in again.

Weather: Rain develope during the afternoon with the possibility of strong winds.

Tickets: Match will be played behind closed doors.

Prediction: Derbyshire

Yorkshire v Leicestershire

Where: Headingley, Leeds

When: Wednesday, August 2, 6:30pm

Lowdown: Yorkshire have both won one and lost one. They were narrowly defeated by Notts after Ben Duckett’s heroic performance. Yet, they managed to cruise to victory against Derbyshire by 99 runs. Leicestershire have only managed to complete a single game, in which they defeated bottom-of-the-table Durham. Both teams have a single win against the two bottom teams in the table.

One to Watch: Joe Root will stay with Yorkshire during the Australia T20 series after being left out of the squad, and with two half-centuries in the competition so far his county will be thrilled to have him available.

Weather: Heavy rain will begin in the early afternoon and continue for the rest of the evening.

Tickets: Match will be played behind closed doors.

Prediction: Yorkshire

CENTRAL GROUP

Birmingham Bears v Gloucestershire

Where: Edgbaston, Birmingham

When: Wednesday, August 2, 6:35pm

Lowdown: In T20 matches the Bears have beaten Gloucestershire every time, going all the way back to 2009. The winner will keep a grip on the automatic qualification places.

One to Watch: Although they’ve only completed one match, Taunton born debutant Jacob Lintott demonstrated his class with the ball against Glamorgan. His unique left-arm spin produced an economy rate of just 3.25.

Weather: Once again, there will be some light rain around in the afternoon.

Tickets: Match will be played behind closed doors.

Prediction: Birmingham Bears.
