Wright signed a two-year deal with the club back in June but has since pulled out of the move for personal reasons
Sussex's recruitment for the 2024 campaign has hit a bump in the road after Leicestershire bowler Chris Wright had second thoughts about joining the club.
Wright signed a two-year deal with the club back in June but has since pulled out of the move for personal reasons.
Head coach Paul Farbrace confirmed the news while on commentary on day three of Sussex's County Championship Division Two clash with Gloucestershire. His arrival would have added valuable experience to a young squad.

"We are back in the market to find ourselves another experienced bowler," he said on BBC Radio Sussex.
"He would have been a great signing for us and our dressing room but it is not to be.
"All the qualities and all of his experience and skill he would have brought would have been fantastic."
Wright has taken 585 wickets at 32.20 across 202 first-class appearances and a further 139 wickets in 126 List A appearances.
This season he has taken 47 wickets in 13 County Championship appearances and contributed 18 wickets to Leicestershire's One-Day Cup win.
His future with Leicestershire is yet to be confirmed. He turned down a new contract prior to signing terms with Sussex.
