The England seamer has not been deemed fit enough to play this season but that is set to change for the visit of Middlesex in the LV= Insurance County Championship
Ollie Robinson is set for his first appearance of the campaign after being included in Sussex's squad for the LV= Insurance County Championship clash against Middlesex at Hove.
The England seamer, who had back spasms on the West Indies Test tour and then suffered from a tooth infection that required dental surgery, has not been deemed fit enough to play this season.
Robinson has therefore been forced to sit out the defeats to Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire and draws with Derbyshire and Durham.
George Garton is also braced to return in competitive cricket for the first time since January - when he made his England debut in the West Indies T20 series - after suffering from long Covid.
The 25-year-old contracted the virus for a second time over the winter and complained of losing breath in the aftermath.

He's been forced to watch the opening four rounds of the season from afar but is finally available for selection.
"It is great to welcome back three highly talented bowlers such as Garton, Robinson and (Sean) Hunt," said County Championship coach Ian Salisbury.
"We still have to be patient with all three as they haven’t played any competitive cricket this year, but I am delighted to be able to select them for my squad.
"For me, the signs are looking promising.
"In our first couple of games we only really managed to perform how we should for two days, but last week we had three great days and put ourselves in a position to win the match."
