Robbie White has signed a contract extension with Middlesex which will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2024 season.

The 26-year-old top-order batter made his debut for Middlesex in 2018 and has gone on to make 26 red-ball appearances.

Last season, he scored 765 runs at 34.77 in 14 County Championship matches, including four half-centuries in the opening five matches of 2021 and two centuries in his final four outings.

He also made six appearances in the Royal London Cup, scoring 140 runs, but did not feature in the T20 Blast.

Commenting on extending his contract, White said: "I’m delighted to have signed an extension for the next three years with Middlesex - a club I’ve played for since I was nine years old and am incredibly proud to represent.

"Whilst results haven’t been good enough over the last few years, there’s a great excitement working towards next season and I’m hoping to play my part in moving the club forward and achieving success and silverware in the coming seasons."

Alan Coleman, head of men’s professional cricket at the club, added: "In the last eighteen months, Robbie’s quality as a batter has really shone through in first team cricket. He has excelled in tough situations and shown great character and composure to succeed at those times.

"He is a leader and well respected in the changing room, and I am excited to watch him continue to progress in first team cricket during the next three seasons."
