Paul van Meekeren is one of four players who will leave Gloucestershire at the end of 2023.

The bowler joined the club in 2021 and went on to take 47 wickets in 25 appearances, 17 of which came during this season's One-Day Cup campaign as Gloucestershire reached the semi-finals.

Van Meekeren, who was recently named in the Netherlands' World Cup squad, has previously represented Somerset and Durham.

Tom Lace, Will Naish and Jared Warner will also leave the club when their contracts expire.

Lace made 28 appearances across all formats after joining the club in 2020, scoring 925 runs, while 20-year-old Naish made one T20 appearance against a Sri Lanka Development XI in 2022.

Former England Under-19 international Warner, meanwhile, made 14 appearances across all formats in 2021 and 2022 but didn't feature for the 1st XI this season, instead playing for Oxfordshire.

Head coach Dale Benkenstein said: "We'd like to thank Paul, Tom, Jared and Will for their contributions to Gloucestershire during their time with the club. They've been great to work with during my time here, and it's been a pleasure to get to know them.

"During this season in particular, Paul's wickets in the One-Day Cup were crucial in helping us reach the semi-final, and we wish him all the best for the upcoming World Cup with the Netherlands."
