Leicestershire have opted not to include Ben Mike in their squad for the LV= Insurance County Championship clash with Nottinghamshire following confirmation that he will move to Yorkshire at the end of the season.

Last month, the allrounder turned down the offer of a new two-year contract at Grace Road, instead opting to make the switch to Headingley, where he has signed a three-year deal.

Mike, who made his professional debut for the Foxes in 2018, has made 86 appearances for the club across cricket's formats.

"Ben Mike has not been considered for selection following his impending move to Yorkshire," read a Leicestershire statement.

The 24-year-old was part of the Trent Rocket squad that won The Hundred, and he earlier this season recorded his highest first-class score – 99 not out against Middlesex. He has taken 16 first-class wickets this summer.

Meanwhile, overseas seamer Beuran Hendricks has returned home to South Africa, while Wiaan Mulder is absent from Paul Nixon's side to take on Nottinghamshire after being called up as cover by the Proteas following Rassie van der Dussen's finger injury.
