Lancashire have appointed Carl Crowe as their assistant head coach.
The 46-year-old replaces Mark Chilton as Glen Chapple’s deputy following Chilton’s appointment as director of cricket performance in October.
Crowe, who plied his trade as an off-spinner for Leicestershire between 1995 and 2002, has spent the past two seasons working for the club in a consultancy role.
He has also served as an assistant and bowling coach around the world, including stints with Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, Lahore Qalandars in the PSL, Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL and the England Women’s team.

Commenting on joining Lancashire on a full-time basis, Crowe said: "I am really excited to take up the role of assistant head coach and would like to thank the club – particularly Mark and Glen – for the opportunity.
"I have been working with Lancashire Cricket for a while now on a part-time consultancy basis which has allowed me to build lots of good relationships, learn a lot about this great club and this just feels like a natural progression for me.
"Glen and I have known one another for a really long time, and we have worked more closely together in the last 18 months or so. He is an outstanding head coach, and I am very much looking forward to supporting, and learning, from him."
Chilton added: "We are really pleased that Carl has agreed to join us on a full-time basis. He is an outstanding coach with a wealth of experience working around the world and he has been superb during his 18 months with us so far.
"Carl has already built-up great relationships with the players and backroom staff and from the start he was our outstanding candidate to become Glen’s assistant head coach."
