Darren Stevens' 18-year stay at Kent is reportedly set to come to an end.
Stevens, 46, is out of contract in the autumn and, following an injury-hit season, the Evening Standard says he may well have already played his final game for the club.
The allrounder is something of a cult hero at Canterbury, having enjoyed a surge in form over the past few years, but 2022 has been more of a struggle - he has taken six wickets in first-class cricket at an average of 75.
Stevens' latest injury problem - a calf issue - came during a recent Royal London Cup defeat by Glamorgan.

A Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2021, at the age of 45, it will be intriguing to see whether Stevens tries to find another playing role in the first-class network.
He averaged better than 20 with the ball for five straight years prior to this season, and has produced fireworks with the bat from the lower order on multiple occasions for Kent.
Kent have already announced the departure of Matt Milnes to Yorkshire, and the signing of Joey Evison from Nottinghamshire.
