Somerset v Glamorgan scorecard
Jamie Overton expects to remain at Somerset for the rest of the season, despite suggestions he could move to Surrey on loan ahead of his permanent switch in the winter.
Overton's long association with the West Country county will end in the coming months, following confirmation of his switch to The Oval. Surrey are keen to take him on a temporary deal for the rest of the 2020 campaign, but such an agreement is some way from fruition.
However, Somerset fans may get to say an extended goodbye to the seamer.
"At the moment I am taking things very much game to game, but as things stand I expect to be here for the rest of the season before joining Surrey," he said after helping his current team to Bob Willis Trophy success over Glamorgan.

"If that is the case, I will be giving everything to help Somerset win the Bob Willis Trophy. I have been told that if I can put together four good performances it might lead to an England place.
"Playing Test cricket is my ultimate goal. It was an incredibly tough decision to leave a club I love, but I want to take the new ball and have felt myself to be a little way down the pecking order here."
Asked about the possibility of Overton joining Surrey on loan before the end of the season, head coach Jason Kerr said: "I am sure Surrey would like that, but the ball is in our court. As Jamie says, we are taking things game by game.
"We want to win every competition we enter and that means picking our best team for every match."
