India will warm up for the England white-ball games with tour matches with county sides Derbyshire and Northamptonshire.

The tourists will appear at The Incora County Ground on July 1 - the same day as the fifth Test at Edgbaston begins - before rocking up at the County Ground on July 3.

They will act as tune-up games ahead of the three T20Is (July 7, 9, 10) and a trio of one-day internationals (July 12, 14 and 17) against Eoin Morgan's 50-over world champions.

And while many of India's star names, including Virat Kohli, captain Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, are expected to be in Test action there will still be a fair share of international talent on show.

KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan are likely to be among the stellar cast assembled to face Eoin Morgan's side.

Tour matches have dwindled in number in recent years due to the impact of Covid-19 and the intensity of the global cricket calendar which has vastly reduced the length of international tours.

It is a welcome announcement financially for both Derbyshire and Northamptonshire, neither of whom host men's international cricket or Hundred teams.

England women face South Africa in the first ODI at Northampton on July 11, before taking on The Proteas at Derby in the third T20I on July 25.

Derby will also host the second women's T20I between England and India on September 13.
