The left-arm offspinner hasn't played a single County Championship match in 2023 and has been let go from his two-year deal ahead of schedule following 37 appearances for the club
George Linde has left Kent ahead of schedule, releasing him to play in this season's Caribbean Premier League.
The South African was in the autumn of his two-year deal at Canterbury, making 37 outings across the three competitions.
But failure to make an impact in the County Championship - he hasn't played in any of Kent's nine Division One matches this season - left him frustrated.
"I'd like to thank everyone at Kent; my teammates and coaches as well as all the staff, members and supporters, for making me feel a part of the Kent cricket family during my time here," he said, upon the news being confirmed.
"Unfortunately I haven't had much opportunity to play in the four-day game this year so I have decided to try and play more franchise cricket.

"I wish the club the very best for the rest of the season and for the future."
Though not deemed a significant figure in four-day cricket, Linde was a key component of the white-ball sides. He played all but one of Kent's T20 Blast matches during his stint, taking 26 wickets.
Linde also featured three times for the Spitfires during their run to One Day Cup glory in 2022.
Clearing his schedule in August and September frees Linde up to play in the CPL, having been picked up by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
In 52 matches, the 31-year-old left-arm spinner has 143 T20 wickets in 152 matches, while possessing a batting strike rate of 134.48.
