Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson has been elected to Yorkshire's board as a non-executive director following an AGM on May 28.
Former wheelchair racer Baroness Grey-Thompson is one of Britain’s greatest Paralympic athletes. Since retiring in 2007, she has held various roles in sports and politics and joins the board as a non-executive director.
Lucy Amos, Leslie Ferrar, Nolan Hough, Yaseen Mohammed and Kavita Singh were also elected to the board in the same role. The latter pair are Yorkshire members.
Mohammed chairs the board of Park Avenue Bradford and is a trustee for the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation. Away from cricket, Mohammed has held senior public and private sector roles, now leading a development consultancy business which he established ten years ago.
Fellow Yorkshire member Singh is a solicitor and member of Brackley CC in Halifax whose professional career has focused on advising organisations on best practices relating to governance.

Amos is an expert in brand positioning and communications, overseeing social media for Disney across 16 EMEA territories and its UK business, while Ferrar has extensive experience as a non-executive director with particular focus on corporate governance, audit committees and management of risk.
Hough is a lifelong cricket fan who has held senior commercial roles with brand leaders, including Manchester United and Manchester Airports Group.
Geoff Cope was also re-elected as club president while outgoing non-executive director Neil Hartley was installed as vice-president.
Lord Kamlesh Patel, Yorkshire’s chair, said: "An extremely strong field of candidates applied for these six non-executive director positions - we were truly spoilt for choice. These six candidates were recommended to the members for appointment after a rigorous, robust and fair selection process.
"I’m delighted to welcome as colleagues six individuals who bring a wide variety of skills, talent, experiences and knowledge to the governance of Yorkshire at a crucial time in the club’s history. Our collective aim as a board is to lead transformational change at the club, and act as a beacon for the game as a whole; so that cricket truly becomes a game for everyone, in twenty-first century Yorkshire and across the country."
