Gloucestershire seamer Liam Norwell has replaced George Garton in the MCC side for the Champion County match against Essex in Barbados next month.

The 26-year-old will line up alongside former West Indies star Fidel Edwards and Yorkshire's Matt Fisher in a three-pronged seam attack for the clash with the county champions.

John Stephenson, MCC head of cricket, said: “Naturally we are disappointed not to be seeing George in action, but Liam is another fine young English bowler.
"He enjoyed an excellent season in 2017 and we look forward to him showcasing his talent against Essex.”
The four-day match at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown is scheduled to start on Tuesday, March 27.
Daniel Bell-Drummond of Kent will captain the team, which includes ex-England international Paul Collingwood and Hampshire's latest signing, Sam Northeast.
