Middlesex have recalled Martin Andersson

Martin Andersson has been recalled from his loan spell at Derbyshire by parent club Middlesex.

The allrounder only moved counties last week but, after claiming 4-25 in Derbyshire's victory over Glamorgan, he has been summoned back for Middlesex's clash with Kent in the County Championship.

Andersson will make his Championship debut at Lord's on Monday after Tim Murtagh was sidelined.

Murtagh withdrew from the squad on Monday morning, suffering from a high temperature related to a mouth abscess.

A Middlesex statement read: "We would like to pass on our thanks to Derbyshire for their understanding in us recalling Martin at such short notice".
