COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION ONE ROUNDUP: The England batter cruised to 96 to underpin Yorkshire's innings, which came in response to Sussex's 501
Cardiff (day three of four): Glamorgan 440, Leicestershire 500-5 - Leicestershire lead by 60 runs with five wickets remaining
Leicestershire and Glamorgan look set to play out a draw on the final day as three players notched up half-centuries, with only four wickets falling in the full day's play.
The visitors reached a first innings lead at Sophia Gardens with 24 overs left to play on day three. Jonny Tattersall top-scored on the day with an unbeaten 86. Ian Holland resumed overnight to reach 79, and Stephen Eskanazi continued his form with a half-century to propel the Foxes to 500 for 5 in reply to Glamorgan's 440.
Jake Weatherald was expected to return after retiring hurt with a century on day two with suspected cramp. The Australian overseas didn't bat again as a precautionary measure. Only bowlers, Tom Scriven and Sam Wood, travelled with the squad as possible replacements.

Headingley (day three of four): Sussex 501 & 31-2, Yorkshire 511 - Sussex lead by 22 runs with eight wickets remaining
England star Joe Root cruised to 96 but fell short of a 12th first-class century for Yorkshire in the hosts' strong response to Sussex's first-innings 502 on day three of the County Championship fixture.
The contest now looks likely, but not certain, to finish as a draw at Headingley.
Sussex had started the season with back-to-back wins, and Yorkshire had a draw and a defeat. But neither bowling attack has looked likely to penetrate high-class batting line-ups on a placid pitch.
Yorkshire, having started day three on 192 for 1, were bowled out for 511, claiming a lead of just nine with 14 overs left in the day.
