The bowler will be available for Leicestershire's remaining three County Championship matches as they push for promotion from Division Two
Hampshire's Scott Currie has joined Leicestershire on a short-term loan.
The bowler will be available for the club's remaining three County Championship matches – against Sussex, Hampshire and Yorkshire – as they push for promotion from Division Two.
Leicestershire currently sit third in the table, 24 points behind Worcestershire who have played 12 matches.
Currie has only made two first-class appearances in his short career to date, taking seven wickets at 23.85. His most recent Championship outing came in May 2021 but he has picked up 12 wickets in the 2nd XI Championship this season.

Currie said: "I'm delighted to be here. It's been a while coming but it's nice to finally get involved, and with promotion on the line, there's plenty to be excited about.
"It's an experienced group with a good blend of youth, so I'm looking forward to learning and developing within that setup, and hopefully I can contribute to some more wins.
"The side seems settled and has been on a good run, so I'll do all I can to help with the team's push to get out of Division Two."
Leicestershire director of cricket, Claude Henderson, said: "His height provides a real advantage to any bowling attack, and we believe he will offer the team match-winning skills in all departments.
"His game awareness and hunger to improve has also been really encouraging. We can't wait to see him put those qualities into practice for Leicestershire."
Hampshire director of cricket, Giles White, confirmed Currie is still part of the club's red-ball plans, adding: "These final matches of the season will give Scott some valuable, competitive game time that we unfortunately haven't been able to afford him this year.
"He is a big part of our plans for the future and this is an opportunity to accelerate his development as a red-ball player."
