The Cricketer wraps up the best of the action in the 12th round of LV= Insurance County Championship matches in 2023
Derby (day two of four): Glamorgan 521-8d, Derbyshire 95-0 - Derbyshire trail by 426 runs with 10 first-innings wickets in hand
A combination of determined batting and rain frustrated promotion hopefuls Glamorgan on the second day of the LV= Insurance County Championship match against Derbyshire at Derby.
Glamorgan racked up 521 for 8 declared, the county's highest ever score at Derby, with wicketkeeper Chris Cooke plundering 70 from 51 balls.
But their bowlers also struggled on another placid Incora County Ground pitch as Luis Reece (52) and Harry Came (37) shared an unbroken opening stand of 95 in 40 overs before rain prevented any play after tea.

Scarborough (day two of four): Yorkshire 340, Durham 106-1 - Durham trail by 234 runs with nine first-innings wickets in hand
Former Yorkshire opening partners Adam Lyth and Alex Lees shone for their respective counties on day two of this County Championship fixture at Scarborough as Durham responded in kind to the home side's commanding first-innings 340 all out.
Lyth made his way from 75 not out overnight to 111 off 188 balls before fellow left-hander Lees dominated after tea with 65 not out in Durham's reply of 106 for 1 from 33 overs.
The pair won two Championship titles together for Yorkshire in 2014 and 2015 before Lees fell out of form and left his home county for Durham to reignite his career in 2018.
He has since played Test Cricket for England and is currently on a run of four hundreds in his last five Championship innings. Number five could follow on day three.

Cheltenham (day one of four): Worcestershire 265-7, Gloucestershire
Brett D'Oliveira rode to promotion-chasing Worcestershire's rescue on the opening day of the County Championship Division Two match against neighbours Gloucestershire at Cheltenham.
Seeking to leapfrog Sussex and move into second place in the table, the visitors found themselves pinned between a rock and a hard place after being reduced to 182 for 7 by a Gloucestershire seam attack that acquitted themselves well to give hope to an expectant Festival crowd.
Zaman Akhter and Matt Taylor claimed 3 for 61 and 2 for 65, respectively, and Worcestershire were in danger of under-achieving badly when their captain stopped the rot, scoring a dogged 53 not out from 103 balls and staging an obdurate unbroken partnership of 83 with Josh Baker, who was unbeaten of 40 when rain moved in to bring a premature close to proceedings with the loss of 34 overs.
