There was no play possible due to rain on the third day of the LV= Insurance County Championship match between title chasers Yorkshire and Warwickshire at Emerald Headingley.
Forecasted rain arrived shortly before 9am and had not stopped when umpires Nigel Llong and Neil Mallender opted to abandon the day at 2.30pm with puddles on the outfield.
Division Two
Glamorgan v Gloucestershire
Sophia Gardens (third day of four): Glamorgan 309 & 57-6, Gloucestershire 419 - Glamorgan trail by 53 runs with four second innings wickets in hand
Gloucestershire went through the 400 barrier for the first time this season to put hosts Glamorgan under severe pressure as they established a first innings lead of 110 runs on day three of their LV= Insurance County Championship Division 2 clash at Sophia Gardens.
Then they ripped through the home side’s top order to put themselves on course for a magnificent seventh first-class win of the summer. Having reached 39 without loss, Glamorgan ended on 57-6 when the players went off for bad light at 5.50pm – still 53 runs behind going into the final day.
Northamptonshire v Durham
Northampton (third day of four): Northamptonshire 183 & 10-0, Durham 400 - no play on Tuesday due to rain
Durham’s pursuit of victory against Northamptonshire in the LV= Insurance County Championship was delayed by a washed-out day three at Wantage Road.
Umpires Ben Debenham and Peter Hartley scouted out the conditions during a 3.15pm inspection, but despite the hard work of the groundstaff, the day's proceedings were called off at 3.30pm without a ball bowled.
Surrey v Essex
The Oval (third day of four): Essex 439, Surrey 107-7 - no play on Tuesday due to rain
No play was possible on day three of Surrey’s LV= Insurance County Championship match against Essex because of persistent and sometimes heavy rain at the Kia Oval.
Umpires Billy Taylor and Paul Baldwin made their decision at 1.30pm after initially ruling out play before lunch, with the afternoon forecast promising more bad weather.
Surrey will resume their first innings on 107 for 7 tomorrow morning, still 332 runs adrift of Essex’s 439, and the visitors will still be hoping to enforce the follow on and then press for an innings victory.

Division Three
Derbyshire v Kent
Derby (third day of four): Kent 285 & 147-1, Derbyshire 156 - no play on Tuesday due to rain
Kent’s advance towards a third LV= Insurance County Championship victory was held up when the third day of the match against Derbyshire at Derby was washed out.
Rain throughout the morning prevented any play before lunch and with no sign of the weather improving, it was no surprise when the umpires decided to call the game off for the day at just after 2pm.
They are currently 276 runs in front on 147 for 1 in their second innings and will fancy their chances against a Derbyshire side who are the only team in the country without a victory in the championship this season.
Leicestershire v Sussex
Leicestershire (third day of four): Sussex 359, Leicestershire 291-2 - no play on Tuesday due to rain
Heavy rain prevented any play on day three of the LV= Insurance County Championship match between Leicestershire and Sussex.
Umpires Mark Newell and Ian Ramage ruled out any prospect of play after a 2pm inspection of a sodden outfield, with the square still under cover.
Middlesex v Worcestershire
Lord's (third day of four): Middlesex 144 & 233-6, Worcestershire 171 - no play on Tuesday due to rain
Creative thinking by captains Tim Murtagh and Joe Leach may be needed to contrive a result after day three of the LV= Insurance Division Three clash between Middlesex and Worcestershire was abandoned without a ball bowled.
Heavy overnight rain which continued throughout the morning delayed any pitch inspection until 2:30pm at which point umpires Neil Bainton and Robert White announced play would begin at 3:30pm if there was no more rain.
However, the rain returned 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled start and play was eventually abandoned at 4:20pm.
