PROMOTIONAL FEATURE

For club cricketers used to playing in English conditions, a brand-new pair of sunglasses might not be top of your priority list when refreshing your kitbag this spring.

But a pioneering new range from Sunwise, aimed at enhancing Cricketing performance in all conditions, will make you think twice.

The company’s brand-new trademarked Seeing Red range is specifically designed to give you better vision of the Red Ball – not to mention a full shield design to provide uninterrupted, stylish vision on field

“It’s the first time this has been done by a British sunglasses brand,” explains Sunwise Sales and Marketing Manager, Jamie Bremner.

The Seeing Red Range encompasses premium functionality and trending design to provide cricketers with optimal vision in all conditions. The lens is engineered to increase the contrast of the red ball when situated against typical on pitch surroundings, whether that’s grass or artificial pitches, urban or rural backdrops, sunny or grey skies.

The range’s anti-fog lens glaze and frame gasket allows air to move through freely and means your vision won’t be clouded, even if you’re wearing a cap, wide-brim hat or helmet.

Other features of the range, which also offer the similar levels of enhancement for those playing in pink-ball games, include adjustable nose pads and auto-lock hinges for a secure, comfortable fit.

Models include the Vivid (RRP £99.99) and Precision (RRP £79.99), which are available in both black and white, along with the Kennington (RRP £59.99), available in black.

Reviews of the range so far include compliments about crystal clear and durable lenses, with one Cricketer noting they were “perfect” for tracking the ball from long distance.

For Sunwise, founded in Oxford in 1988, the mission is very much to give club cricketers the same access to world class products as their professional counter parts, with their products being on sale at the biggest cricket venues including Lord’s, The Oval and Headingley.
