RRP: £225, Owzat price: £179.99, Edge: 36mm, Weight: 2lb 9oz

A favourite of England Test duo Zak Crawley and Gus Atkinson, as well as Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis, the Imperia 1.0 is crafted for the discerning stroke maker.

It boasts a powerful profile and a deliberately positioned low sweet spot designed to maximise front-foot dominance and controlled driving.

Whether leaning into cover drives or presenting the full face down the ground, the shape encourages confident, classical stroke play.

During testing, the Imperia stood out as an excellent allrounder with a notably light blade. Players frequently described it as feeling together and reliable in the hands, inspiring the confidence needed to fully commit.

The pickup was particularly well received, with the bat floating smoothly through the swing and maintaining a balanced, controlled feel. Its lightweight nature made it comfortable over longer sessions, promoting fluent stroke play and easy bat speed.

That said, a few testers noted they needed to apply slightly more force to extract maximum power.

While performance drew strong praise, views on the aesthetics of the balde were mixed, with some less convinced by the stickers and colour scheme.

Nonetheless, the Imperia 1.0 impressed as a balanced, dependable modern bat built for commanding innings.
