When it comes to operating his Global Cricket School endeavour, Sachin Bajaj’s motto is simple: “More fun, more cricket and helping more people to play.”

For two decades, he has been helping cricketers of all abilities to improve and achieve their goals – including some truly stellar names.

Two cricketing knights, Sir Alastair Cook and Sir Andrew Strauss, feature among a truly impressive list of players to have made use of GCS that also includes Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Graeme Swann and Craig Kieswetter.

The company was founded with the aim of batting and bowling camps across the world, along with tours, allowing cricketers to experience conditions outside of their usual climate.

“What started off as quite a fun adventure has become quite a serious business,” says Sachin.

“We want to help people play better and enjoy a true cultural and cricketing experience.”

GCS started out in India and MCC, of which Sachin has been a member for 25 years (he cites Lord’s and Liverpool FC’s Anfield home as the “twin pillars of England”), have entrusted him with running their forthcoming tour of his native land.

But the GCS network also encompasses countries including Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, New Zealand and Oman too.

“We’ve supported all kinds of people, both amateur and professional,” says Sachin, an avowed fan of both Yorkshire CCC and English county cricket in general.

“It’s open for all and when people don’t have the money, we try to help them.

“We don’t believe in turning people away.

“We’re also very big in supporting the women’s game because we believe in gender equality.”

As a touring company, GCS is wholly focused on cricket, rather than offering a glorified holiday.

Away from the grounds, though, authentic experiences such as slum tours of Mumbai also form packages.

“We want people to come to us to play better cricket and go back better human beings too, “ adds Sachin.

With passion like that for a sport we all love, it’s no wonder some of the best to ever play the game count themselves among satisfied GCS customers.

Among them are two former England captains, Eoin Morgan and Sir Andrew Strauss.

“Global Cricket School gives any player the chance to fully explore their talent,” says Morgan.

“GCS provides fantastic facilities, experienced coaches and high quality net bowlers who have all helped to improve my basics ahead of playing international and IPL cricket on the sub-continent.”

“The organisation is brilliant,” adds Strauss.

“Sachin Bajaj and his team go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable, happy and that your every need is looked after.”

With endorsements like that, it is little wonder that GCS continues to grow its reputation for excellence across the world.
