Four members of the "touring party" have tested positive and are isolating away from the rest of the group
Sydney Sixers are confident the weekend's top of the table clash with Perth Scorchers will go ahead despite a minor Covid-19 outbreak among the group.
Four positive cases have emerged following PCR tests in the last 48 hours.
The unnamed individuals are all self-isolating. All other members of the touring party have returned negative results.
Daily rapid antigen tests will continue to be carried out and the team are optimistic there will no lasting damage.
Sixers have already had one game pushed back due to an outbreak in the Brisbane Heat camp.

The Sixers will depart for Coffs Harbour tomorrow (January 7) for the match on Sunday against the Scorchers.
Three matches have already been postponed due to Covid outbreaks, with Adelaide Strikers' clash with Melbourne Stars the latest to fall by the wayside.
Positive cases have occurred in virtually every team with major absences at Heat and Stars forcing them to recruit local replacement players to fill the void.
As a result, all eight BBL teams are being moved to a hub in Melbourne to help ensure the tournament can continue without further disruption.
