Hobart Hurricanes wicketkeeper Matthew Wade has been fined $6,000AUS for his dugout strop during the Big Bash final.

Wade, who had been dropped down the batting order to No. 6 for the clash with Adelaide Strikers on Sunday, was run out for a diamond duck at the Adelaide Oval and took his frustration out on the seating area by the boundary.

Having slammed his bat against the structure, Wade stormed back to the Hobart dressing room.

He was charged by Cricket Australia with abuse of equipment but denied the offence.

However, match referee Peter Marshall found Wade guilty and upheld the penalty.

It was the second level one offence of the season for the 30-year-old, following his send-off of Sydney Thunder batsman Jos Buttler on New Year's Day.

Should Wade be found guilty of another low-level offence before July 2019, he faces a ban of up to eight matches.

Meanwhile, Sydney Sixers wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy has been reprimanded for her send-off of Perth Scorchers captain Elyse Villani in the Women’s Big Bash final.

Healy clapped in the face of the batter after stumping her and later admitted she expected to be pulled up. The keeper admitted the offence to match referee Darryl Harper.
