The Melbourne Stars captain is self-isolating as he awaits the result of a PCR Test
Glenn Maxwell, the Melbourne Stars captain, is the latest player to be at the centre of a Covid-19 scare.
The Australia allrounder has returned a positive rapid antigen test and is currently isolating.
He is awaiting the outcome of a PCR test to ratify the result.
Stars will provide an update as to Maxwell's status upon the result being known.
In eight BBL 11 matches, the 33-year-old has scored 188 runs and taken two wickets.
Maxwell becomes the 13th Stars player to be hit by the virus during the Big Bash League.

Eight staff members have also been laid low by Covid-19, leading to the team's resources being stretched.
It forced them to call up six local replacement players to help fulfil their fixtures.
Cricket Australia are desperately trying to keep the Big Bash on the road despite outbreaks across the competition.
Brisbane Heat were the latest side to be affected, leading to their match against Sydney Sixers being moved to January 5 and two Perth Scorchers games being switched.
Scorchers and Sydney Thunder have also recently reported positive cases among their respective squads.
