Bazley hits 44 from 27 balls before Bartlett collects 4 for 30 to secure a 14-run victory on New Year's Day
Bellerive Oval: Brisbane Heat 150-8, Hobart Hurricanes 136-8 - Brisbane Heat won by 14 runs
Brisbane Heat had Jame Bazley and Xaiver Bartlett to thank after staging a fine turnaround to beat Hobart Hurricanes.
Bazley struck 44 from 27 deliveries as Heat made 150 for 8 from their 20 overs.
Hurricanes were immediately on the back-foot in the chase, with Bartlett dismissing the top three as part of figures of 4 for 30.
The result leaves Heat in fifth, four points ahead of sixth-place Melbourne Stars having played two games more.
Meanwhile, Hurricanes stay third, four adrift of second-place Perth Scorchers.
The other scheduled game on New Year's Day between Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Renegades was rained off without a ball being bowled, meaning both sides share the three points.
After being inserted, Heat stumbled to 77 for 6 with just two of the top six reaching double figures.
Tom Rogers' 2 for 15 was backed up by Nathan Ellis collecting 3 for 41.

Bazley was the hero in shining armour for Heat, playing a fine late hand with an unbeaten 44 that included three fours and two sixes.
They cracked 42 from the final three overs to set a respectable target of 151.
Hurricanes have only won once this season chasing and they failed to improve on that return, making just 136 for 8 from their full allocation.
They never really looked like troubling the Heat total, losing Matthew Wade (1) via Bartlett's first ball of the match in the second over.
Ben McDermott then went without scoring with just six on the board.
Bartlett then got rid of D'Arcy Short (27) following a miserable innings as Mark Steketee took a smart catch.
Mujeeb ur Rahman then helped pin down the middle order, taking 3 for 20. Rogers gave Hurricanes brief hope with 33 not out from 20 balls but it was too little, too late.
