Melbourne Stars allrounder Marcus Stoinis
Marcus Stoinis will not be moving to Brisbane Heat after the franchise dropped their interest in the allrounder.
Reports last week linked Melbourne Stars ace Stoinis with a possible move to Queensland for next season's Big Bash and an offer was made to the Australia international.
However, the Heat have now confirmed that all conversations regarding a switch have ended.
"We touched base with Marcus and put together what we felt was an attractive offer," said general manager Andrew McShea told cricket.com.au.
"However, that offer is no longer on the table."
Stoinis has made 551 runs at an average of 22.04 over the course of his 33 Big Bash matches to date, taking 20 wickets with an economy rate of 8.41 in the process.
Fox Sports reported last week that Brisbane would try to entice him to the Gabba with the promise of their No. 3 spot in the batting order.
