Afghanistan mystery spinner Mujeeb ur Rahman will return to Brisbane Heat for the upcoming Big Bash season.
Mujeeb has already spent three terms with Heat, taking 29 wickets at 21.24, with an economy rate of 6.13.
The 20-year-old was the club's leading wicket-taker last year, with 14 in eight games.
“I’m very pleased to have re-signed for Brisbane Heat for my fourth season with them,’’ he said.
“I’m very happy there, they’re great guys. The fans always support me and the team so I hope we can win the Big Bash for them.”
Brisbane head coach Wade Seccombe said: “Darren [Lehmann] has reported back to us that he keeps getting better each time he sees him.
“It’s exciting for us to have him in the line-up again. It makes a big difference to how we match-up with other teams, and his skills and controls enables other players in our squad to come to the fore as well.”
The Big Bash campaign is due to get underway on Sunday, December 5, with Heat first in action against Sydney Thunder at Manuka Oval on Monday, December 6.
