Perth Scorchers will host Hobart Hurricanes in match 46 of the 2022/23 Big Bash, the 12th edition of the tournament.
The game is scheduled to start at 4.40pm local time (8.40am GMT) on Wednesday, January 18.
The game will be played at Optus Stadium in Perth.
The defending champions have picked up from where they left off last term and are the favourites to reclaim their crown from 2021/22.
Scorchers start the day second in the BBL table knowing victory over Hurricanes will take them back to the top and secure a top-five berth along with a 10th appearance in the playoffs.
Hurricanes have their ambitions of being part of the latter stages in their own hands. They currently sit fifth in the table in a three-way tie on 10 points with Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder on either side of them, but with games in hand over both.
Though with a negative net run rate, wins in their final four games will assure them a place in the playoffs. To follow they face Brisbane Heat twice and have to take on Sydney Sixers.
These two sides' first meeting in BBL|12 came in the eighth match of the tournament - an eight-run victory for Hurricanes.

Patrick Dooley was given the second and 20th overs during the comfortable victory over Thunder, returning 3 for 22 via his left-arm wrist spin.
The 25-year-old caught the eye of head of strategy Ricky Ponting ahead of the tournament and is the leading spinner in the BBL with 15 wickets in eight matches.
That inevitably means a meeting with Stephen Eskinazi, who has hit the ground running with Scorchers. His last two innings have seen him record scores of 40 and 66 not out - picking up from where he left off the county season with Middlesex.
And if Dooley is needed during the death overs then he may be faced with Ashton Turner, who is striking at 150 during this season's BBL.
A hot and dry day in Perth, with highs of around 31 degrees Celsius.
Scorchers are not expecting to have Jhye Richardson available again until the playoffs due to a hamstring injury.
Matthew Wade is available again for the Hurricanes after he missed the win over Melbourne Stars, returning with a 30 against Sydney Thunder over the weekend.
