Hobart Hurricanes will host the Perth Scorchers in match eight of the 2022/23 Big Bash, the 12th edition of the tournament.
The game is scheduled to start at 7.15 pm local time (8.15 am GMT) on Monday, December 19
The game will be played in Hobart at Launceston's Aurora Stadium.
These teams have had contradicting starts to their respective 2022/23 BBL campaigns.
Hobart Hurricanes lost their opening game against Melbourne Stars by 38 runs, while the defending champions Perth Scorchers registered a 38-run victory over Sydney Sixers.
Jhye Richardson starred with the ball for the Scorchers, picking up four wickets, while Aaron Hardie's 55 off 32 balls had earlier helped his side to a competitive total.
The Hurricanes, meanwhile, were blown away by Joe Clarke's century as he single-handedly took apart their pace attack. In reply, their batters had no answer to Luke Wood and Adam Zampa.

Richardson was impressive in his first game, conceding a miserly nine runs in addition to picking up four wickets. He will have left-arm pacer Jason Behrendorff and T20 specialist Andrew Tye to support him, with both players picking up two wickets against the Sixers.
Hurricanes have a formidable top order comprising Ben McDermott, D'Arcy Short, and Matthew Wade while lower down the order Tim David and Asif Ali can take down any bowling attack. A thrilling battle between bat and ball beckons.
Sunny conditions are expected in Launceston, with temperatures in the low 20s.
Perth Scorchers are coming off a convincing victory over Sydney Sixers. Hence, we can expect them to continue playing with the same XI, with overseas duo Faf du Plessis and Adam Lyth playing alongside an all-Australian bowling attack.
Billy Stanlake and Chris Tremain could make their debuts for the Hurricanes if selected.
