Tim Paine celebrated Australia's pursuit of skill of emotion after his side beat India in the second Test in Perth.
The Aussies dismissed their guests for just 140 in their second innings to claim a 146-run victory at the Optus Stadium and tie the series up at 1-1.
It was a fiercely competitive encounter, during which Paine clashed both verbally and physically with his opposite number Virat Kohli - the pair shared an icy handshake at the close of play on day five - but the Baggy Green captain was happy with the way in which the match was fought.
“Really happy with the competitive, hard style we played. I think we’re slowly building into our style of cricket,” Paine told reporters.

“We stuck to our guns and delivered skill under pressure and managed to keep ahead in the game.
“We talk about playing on skill and not emotion. We know our best cricket is played when we put emotion aside.
“(But) at times you’ve got to draw a line and stick up for yourself and team mates. We aren’t going to sit back and be walked all over.”
The third Test follows in Melbourne on Boxing Day, giving both teams a week to recover from what Paine described as a "bruising" five days in Western Australia.
He said: “As a group we’re relieved, it’s been hard work. It’s been a bruising test match.
“To get a win like that against the number one test team is going to give us a huge boost of confidence.”
