The allrounder was found guilty of a Level 1 Cricket Australia code of conduct breach on day two of the English Lions v Australia A tour match at Canterbury
Australia allrounder Mitchell Marsh has been fined 50 per cent of his match fee after showing dissent towards the umpire in an Australia A tour match.
The 27-year-old was found guilty of a Level 1 Cricket Australia code of conduct breach on day two of a tour match against England Lions at Canterbury.
Marsh is said to have shown dissent after being given out caught behind during Australia A's first innings, to which he responded by gesturing with his hands his disappointment before leaving the crease and on the way past the umpire said, "I've got nowhere near that".
Despite apologising sincerely afterwards, Marsh has been fined 50% of his match payment, the maximum fine that could be applied for a Level 1 offence.
The match between the two sides ended in a draw, with Lions duo Zak Crawley and Dominic Sibley once again impressing for the home side.
Travis Head and Matthew Wade scored hundreds for Australia as well, which saw them selected for the first Ashes Test match at Edgbaston which began on Thursday.
