What's the match?

The second Test of the 2023 Men's Ashes between England and Australia.

When is it taking place?

Play is scheduled to begin at 11am GMT on Wednesday, June 28.

Where is it?

The second Test will be held at Lord's.

What's happened so far?

What hasn't happened so far? In short, Australia are leading the series 1-0 after completing a two-wicket win at Edgbaston.

The long version... England declared on 398 in the first innings and while Stuart Broad dismissed David Warner again, Usman Khawaja (141 off 321) held Australia together.

In the second innings, England were bowled out for 273, setting Australia a target of 281 to win, and despite getting the tourists eight down, a counter-attacking 44 (73) from Pat Cummins as part of an unbeaten 55-run ninth-wicket stand with Nathan Lyon saw Australia home well after 7pm on the final day.

There was rain, fiery send offs, centuries for Joe Root and Khawaja, and bizarre quotes from Ollie Robinson - god knows how Lord's will top it.

Who's involved?

With Moeen Ali nursing a blistered index finger - he only bowled 14 overs in Australia's second innings - teenage spinner Rehan Ahmed has been added to the England squad.

The 18-year-old made his Test debut against Pakistan in December, taking a memorable five-for en route to match figures of 7 for 137.

England's squad is otherwise unchanged but questions surround the makeup of the bowling attack. Will Moeen play or will Rehan and/or Joe Root take the spin workload? Will England rotate their seamers, bringing in either Mark Wood or allrounder Chris Woakes? It would be hard to leave out Stuart Broad after his efforts at Edgbaston but James Anderson was quiet.

Jonny Bairstow is set to continue behind the stumps.

Australia have made one planned change to their squad, with Jimmy Pierson replacing Josh Inglis as their backup wicketkeeper. Inglis has returned to Australia ahead of the birth of his first child.

As with England, any changes to the XI are likely to centre on the bowling attack. Mitchell Starc missed out at Edgbaston but will be in contention for selection after England's batters took a fancy to Scott Boland.

England squad: Ben Stokes (c), Ollie Pope, Rehan Ahmed, Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow, Stuart Broad, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Dan Lawrence, Matthew Potts, Ollie Robinson, Joe Root, Josh Tongue, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood

Australia squad: Pat Cummins (c), Steve Smith, Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Todd Murphy, Jimmy Pierson (replacing Josh Inglis), Matt Renshaw, Mitchell Starc, David Warner

What's the weather forecast?

It shouldn't be as hot as Edgbaston but don't rule out rain playing a part once again, with damp conditions likely in the second half of the match.

What are the odds?

Australia are at 17/14 to extend their series lead to 2-0 while an England win is available at 13/8. Odds of 17/4 are available for a draw.
