It would be an understatement to suggest that Brydon Carse endured a mixed day two of the second Test at the Gabba.

Across his 17 overs, he delivered figures of 3 for 113, went at an economy rate of 6.64 and was denied the wicket of new batter Alex Carey during a dramatic 57th over.
