Twenty-four hours after bowling West Indies to a famous win over Australia at the Gabba, Shamar Joseph has been picked up to fill in for Gus Atkinson at Peshawar Zalmi
Shamar Joseph's whirlwind month has continued apace, with a partial replacement deal at Peshawar Zalmi for the Pakistan Super League.
Twenty-four hours after bowling West Indies to a famous win over Australia at the Gabba, he has been picked up to fill in for Gus Atkinson while the England fast bowler is part of the squad for the ongoing Test series in India.
Joseph only made his professional T20 debut in September for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League, and he has played just two matches for them.
But his pace has caught the attention of the PSL franchise, whose pursuit of Joseph wasn't mentioned in an initial release from the PCB that documented their business in Monday's supplementary draft.
Atkinson will be with India until March 11, when the fifth Test finishes in India, which rules him out of Zalmi's group stage.

A social media post from Peshawar chairman Javed Afridi teased his signing, with a No.13 shirt – referring to the number of wickets taken by Joseph in the drawn series.
Joseph, who took seven wickets with an injured toe to give West Indies a momentous eight-run victory on Sunday, is also set to play for Dubai Capitals in the ILT20.
Speaking after his heroics, though, he offered reassurance of his Test ambitions, insisting: "I will always be available to play Test cricket, no matter how much money is out there."
