Yorkshire have announced they have signed South Africa fast bowler Duanne Olivier as a Kolpak player ahead of the 2019 County Championship season.
The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the White Rose which will make him unavailable for future international selection.
He made his Test debut for South Africa in 2017, and recently enjoyed his best form in the highest international arena during their series against Pakistan.
Olivier finished as the overall leading wicket-taker with 24 wickets at an average of 14.70.
Duanne Olivier was an overseas player for Derbyshire in 2018
The seam bowler featured as an overseas player for Derbyshire in Division Two during 2018 and took 31 wickets at 27.48. His time in England appears to have been a big contributor to his decision to sign for Yorkshire.
"I came over to the UK last year and thoroughly enjoyed my time playing county cricket," he explained. "I have since realised I could happily base myself there for the foreseeable future.
"I was originally looking to come back as an overseas player but when I got a long-term offer from Yorkshire as a Kolpak I knew that signing for the Club would be the best option for both myself and my family."
