Blessing Muzarabani has stepped away from international cricket
Zimbabwe seamer Blessing Muzarabani has effectively retired from international cricket at the age of 21.
The bowler, who has played 18 one-day internationals, six T20Is and one Test match for his country, only made his debut on Boxing Day last year.
However, he has decided to step away from the international arena, with Zimbabwe Cricket saying the right-armer is focusing on a career in English cricket.
A statement from the governing body on Thursday read: "Blessing Muzarabani has put his international career with (Zimbabwe) on hold, opting to pursue his options in England.
"The 21-year-old fast bowler played one Test, 18 ODIs and six T20 internationals for Zimbabwe. We wish him well in his latest endeavours."
Muzarabani claimed a total of 27 wickets in limited-overs cricket for Zimbabwe but failed to claim a victim during his solitary Test against South Africa.
He said: "I wish my former team-mates and Zimbabwe Cricket all the very best for the future. I have been honoured to represent my country but feel this is an appropriate time for me to pursue other challenges both personally and professionally."
