Hampshire seamer Chris Wood celebrates a wicket at Lord's
Chris Wood has signed a new, two-year contract with Hampshire.
The seamer, 28, has made more than 200 appearances for the club across cricket's three formats since making his debut in 2009. He will now remain with the county until at least the end of the 2020 campaign.
Wood was part of the side which won the 2018 Royal London One-Day Cup, as well as featuring in the top 10 wicket-takers of the T20 Blast.
"I'm delighted to sign another extension here at Hampshire – it was very pleasing to contribute this year and to win another trophy at Lord’s was very special," he said.
"I'm looking forward to working hard on my game again this winter ahead of hopefully another successful season in 2019."
"Chris has done particularly well in white-ball cricket this year and was a standout performer for us during our T20 campaign," director of cricket Giles White said.
"He's a product of the academy here, so we know him very well, and he’s become a very smart bowler who has a sense of what the batsman’s looking to do - hopefully he plays a big part in our campaigns over the coming two years."
