Somerset legspinner Max Waller
Max Waller has agreed a contract extension with Somerset.
The legspinner, 30, will remain with the county until at least the end of the 2020 English summer after putting pen to paper on a new two-year deal at Taunton.
Waller has made his name in the shortest format of the game since making his debut for Somerset in 2009, claiming 111 T20 wickets at an average of 23.14.
His new contract covers both 20-over and 50-over cricket.
"I’m really pleased to have committed myself to Somerset for two more years. We came really close to winning silverware this year and both the club and I share the same hunger and drive to achieve this. That is a massive reason for staying here at this special club," Waller said.
"There’s a genuine belief that this squad can achieve something great and I was always very keen to continue being a part of that; 2018 was my 11th season on the professional staff here at Somerset, and to be at one club for that length of time is something I’m very proud of.
"I’m already looking forward to next season and can’t wait to get out there, entertain and help Somerset win games of cricket in front of the fantastic members and supporters who have been so supportive towards me for over a decade."
