Ben Stokes is to make his return from injury with Durham Jets in their opening T20 Blast match.

Stokes, who has been out of action since the start of June after tearing his left hamstring ahead of the second Test against Pakistan, will feature for his county against Yorkshire Vikings at Headingley on July 5.

The allrounder has been training with England for a fortnight and is closing in on a return to the national side.

Should he emerge through the Durham-Yorkshire match without any trouble, he will be available for the third T20 match against India, which is scheduled to take place in Bristol on July 8.

England's first T20 against India is due to take place at Old Trafford on Tuesday, with the second at Cardiff next Friday.
