Will Davis has become the latest Leicestershire seamer to extend his contract, following Alex Evans, Chris Wright and Ben Mike in committing his future to the county.
The 24-year-old joined the club from Derbyshire at the end of 2018, becoming an important part of the attack for Paul Nixon’s side.
He finished the 2019 season with 33 wickets, 23 of which came in the County Championship. During a shortened 2020 campaign, he picked up 10 scalps, playing a crucial role in the county’s T20 Blast run.
Alex Evans signs new Leicestershire deal
It was Davis who was entrusted with the final over of Leicestershire’s agonising quarter-final defeat against Nottinghamshire; the match ended in a tie, with Notts winning courtesy of having hit more boundaries in their powerplay.
In recent times, Hassan Azad, Lewis Hill, Gavin Griffiths and Nat Bowley have also agreed new deals.
