Trinbago Knight Riders will begin their defence of the Caribbean Premier League in the competition’s opening game against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots on September 4 in Trinidad.

The final of the six-team competition will take place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad on October 12.

The group-stage phase of the tournament will run until October 4, before the Eliminator and Qualifier 1 take place two days later. The venue for these matches is yet to be announced.

Qualifier 2, which sees the winner of the Eliminator face the loser of Qualifier 1, will be held in the same location as the final on Tuesday, October 8.

The dates for the CPL were pushed forward to avoid a clash with India's tour of the Caribbean, ensuring West Indies players will be available for both the CPL, which will stretch across 34 games this year, as well as the series against Virat Kohli’s men.

So far, only the games in Barbados, Jamaica, St Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis and Trinidad & Tobago have been confirmed.
