West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor and Australia batter Rachael Haynes are amongst the latest round of eight players to confirm their participation in The Hundred next year.

Allrounder Taylor will return to the south coast with Southern Brave after enjoying a successful stint with Southern Vipers in this summer's Kia Super League, while 2017-18 Ashes captain Haynes has committed to joining Oval Invincibles.

The latest round of announcements brings each side's confirmed squad up to four players ahead of next summer's tournament. Unlike in the men's tournament, which held a televised draft last month, the eight women's sides are free to contract players until May 31.

Taylor, who has represented her country in 226 white-ball internationals to date and remains the only player to have topped both ICC batting and bowling rankings simultaneously, is excited to get a taste of the new format come the tournament's debut in July.

"I can't wait to join Southern Brave. The other three players we've already announced are very strong and it's going to be such a great competition. I'm really looking forward to working under Charlotte Edwards again," she said.

"There's also a strong Caribbean vibe in the men's team at Southern Brave – with Andre Russell, Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan – so it will be nice to play alongside them and hopefully both teams can have success."

THE HUNDRED: WOMEN'S SQUAD LISTS

Haynes' international teammates Elyse Villani and Jess Jonassen are set to join Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire respectively, with Taylor's compatriot Deandra Dottin the first international signing at London Spirit.

A trio of all-rounders complete today's announcements, with South Africa's Mignon du Preez joining fellow countrywoman Lizelle Lee at Manchester Originals, and the England pair of Georgia Elwiss and Alice Davidson-Richards going to Birmingham Phoenix and Northern Superchargers respectively.

Du Preez commented: "There are some highly talented teams beginning to take shape and the standard is going to be very high. I've played in the Kia Super League and I've always enjoyed it so it's really nice to come back and take part in top-quality domestic competitions.

"It's going to be something a bit different but it's obviously all about trying to take cricket to as many people as possible and as players that's something we want to support. I look forward to coming back to the UK next summer and being a part of Manchester Originals."
