Afghanistan Cricket Board sack chief executive

Afghanistan are sweating over the fitness of Rashid Khan ahead of the first Test against Zimbabwe.

The 22-year-old picked up a finger injury on his bowling arm while playing in the Pakistan Super League for Lahore Qalandars.

Rashid suffered up the blow while fielding off Chris Gayle in the victory over Guetta Gladiators, his second and final game in the competition.

He has since left Pakistan and is being treated by health officials in the United Arab Emirates - where the two-Tests and three T20s are being staged behind closed doors.

A final decision over his fitness will be taken on February 28, ahead of the first Test taking place on March 2-6.
